Since moving to UK, I gained extended experience in creative workshop as leader and assisting musician, especially though my Traineeship at Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, and Fellowship at the Open Academy of the Royal Academy of Music.
At BCMG and at RAM OA, large part of my job included assisting and preparing for various creative music workshops in-school and out-of-school for 7-11 year olds and 12-18 year olds, assisting and creating composition for Harborne School Strings Orchestra (for 6-8 year olds). I was working as assisting violinist and composer alongside experienced creative music workshop leaders Nancy Evans, Liz Johnson, Fraser Trainer, Jackie Walduck, Julian West, Duncan Chapman, Ben Markland, and also leading parts of series of in-school and out-of-school workshops myself.
Through my personal creative projects I have experience of collaborative workshops that unite children and adults - professionals, amateurs and non-musicians. As a violinist, composer and as an educator, I am keenly interested in the communication through music—so much so, that I have made it the central focus of my PhD at the Royal Academy of Music.

Resolution BCMG’s Resolution project has brought together composers and young professional biomedical scientists to work with young people from Turves Green Girls School and King Edward VI Handsworth School, Birmingham, and Light Hall School, Solihull, to create new music inspired by scientific research into auto-immune disease.
Over the last few months workshops have been taking place in schools led by composers Liz Johnson, Fraser Trainer and Jackie Walduck, supported by scientists Beth Clay, Rachel Bayley and Bozo Lugonja, and emerging composers Jeremy Clay, Joanna Lee and Ruta Vitkauskaite – who have been writing new music for the young people to perform. On Friday 22 March 2013 the project culminates with a performance by the young people of music they have created and new music created for them with accompanying science demonstrations. The performance will be followed by an open discussion exploring the similarities and differences of artistic and scientific
